The assistance and guidance we received from Denis could not have been better. He went out of his way to ensure we were 100% satisfied with (i) the selection of the best Presto Marine lift to suit our boat, (ii) the ordering process, (iii) delivery, (iv) custom clearance and a few minor after-installation queries.
The lift has performed beyond expectations and my wife, and I could not be happier with its ease of operation. As ‘senior’ boaters we believe the XL500F lift we fitted, has extended our boating life for at least another five years.
For years I towed my centre console Brig tender behind a Riveria 45.
The options of foredeck or flybridge lifts did not appeal to me as we rarely have the luxury of boating in less than 15 knots of wind and calm waters. I read Denis Glennon’s article “Searching for the Ideal Tender or Jet Ski Lift” and found the perfect answer. You can access his article by clicking on “ARTICLES” above. I fitted a XL500 R lift to the swim platform and it works as advertised and to my complete satisfaction. I lower and raise the tender in less than two minutes, and it stores safely, close to the transom while underway. It has increased our boating enjoyment, enormously. I have not noticed any change to the performance of the Riveria since fitting the lift. Denis was great to work with; he could not have been more helpful from start to finish.

Our ‘new to us’ powerboat came with a homemade, manually operated lift, on the flybridge, a ‘way past its use-by date’ rubber dinghy, and an old 25HP outboard. Winching the dinghy and outboard onto the flybridge was a nightmare. It required at least two people, every time. In choppy seas I felt it was dangerous. We decided to replace the old dinghy with a (much heavier) centre console tender and a new 25HP outboard. The existing lift was inadequate. A more powerful lift required a substantial stainless steel support tube to be fitted through the flybridge and the lower deck and fastened to the hull. Even if we went to this expense, it would not reduce the swaying and swinging of the tender when lowering and raising. We discovered the perfect answer when we saw a Presto Marine lift fitted to a visiting boat being used to lower and lift a large tender with a 50HP outboard motor. A sundowner glass of wine with the owner and his wife, convinced us to abandon the flybridge option. We are now the proud owners of a Presto Marine XL500 Rail model and each time we use it, we smile. A great choice. Dealing with PrestoMarine Australia was a joy. Denis is very knowledgeable and helped us with everything. The biggest bonus – I now have a happy Captain!
