XL500 Lift

Available in both “F” (Fixed) and “R” (Rails) System

This is by far the most frequently purchased lift and is suitable for boats generally above 12.5 metres LOA, and if the working weight of your tender/dinghy/jet ski is under 500kgs. This lift has a hydraulic ram system and are made to order to suit your specific requirements. The length of the rail in the R series will be determined by the customer prior to order.

It has a self-adjusting keel to fit different hull designs such as fibreglass, hard floor inflatables or aluminum.

The depth of your swim platform and the weight of your tender, determine which PrestoMarine Lift type will best suit your boat.

If your swim platform is less than 900mm deep you require the ‘F’ (Fixed) type.

If it is more than 900mm deep, we recommend the ‘R’ (Rails) type.

Difference between the ‘R’ and ‘F’ Types

Both the XL500R and XL500F are rated to lift a maximum of 500 kgs.

The R series system is made for boats with deeper platforms, allowing the tender to be moved inward and secured close to the transom, when underway. This provides a better ride, better stability and protects the tender or jet ski from wake waves or stern waves in following seas.

Why Use Rails?

Rails are not essential to launch or retrieve a tender/jet ski They are used solely to move the tender/jet ski closer to the transom. This ensures the boat’s center of gravity has not shifted too far aft, after the lift is fitted and the tender or jet ski is stored.

Costs [2024]

XL500F:    US$15,100.00 [approximately AU$23,000.00], excluding import duties and taxes and broker’s clearing fee, if applicable.

XL500R:    US$16,900.00 [approximately AU$25,750.00], excluding import duties and taxes and broker’s clearing fee, if applicable.

Delivery Charges, Import Duties, Taxes & Broker’s Clearing Fee

These costs vary with individual orders. All units are delivered, directly to the customer, from Sweden, via DHL or equivalent airfreight service. A firm delivery charge will be provided to each customer prior to placing an order. The import duties, taxes (if applicable) and broker’s clearing fee (if applicable) will be determined upon arrival of the goods into Australia or New Zealand. The purchaser is responsible for these charges, which are additional to the lift costs quoted above, as well as clearing the goods through customs, either personally or with the assistance of a customs clearance broker.

As a guide, in Australia, GST (10%) is payable on the total of: (i) the invoice price of the goods, (ii) the cost to transport the goods to Australia, (iii) the cost to insure the goods in transit and (iv) any duty payable on the goods. If a licensed broker is engaged to clear the goods through customs, the fee is likely to be in the range $250 – $400. My ‘rule of thumb’ for these additional costs is to add 15% of the cost of the lift.
